Cheryl Rabin

Drawing and painting from the figure has always been central to my artwork. My art education was in the UK. I studied fashion design and illustration at St. Martin's School of Art in London. I paint with oils on canvas or linen. The style in which I work continues to evolve as new themes and painting techniques inspire. I frequently use the monotype process as means to create instantly, to loosen control, and to open my work to new possiilities. I admire and draw from the work of De Kooning, Soutine, Ingres, Kandinsky, and Munch.
